The author, 'Ali', is clearrly writing from his own experience. He tells his story artlessly. Writing novels is probably not his day job. We can forgive him for that. Similarly, although he writes in impeccably clear and direct English (his grammar is faultless) English is clearly not his first language. But if any Western reader has a problem with this then he/she should reflect on how well a novel of theirs written in Persian would turn out... and be duly humble.A terrific read, which has the power to open Western eyes to a world that most of us know nothing about. Heartily recommended.

I love this book and highly recommended. I learned of many things that I was not aware.
