I just finished "Traitor", and I think it's one of the best yet in this thousand year saga. The Breakers series captivated me with its complexity and "what ifs", and now a millennia after the Panhandler first appeared, Rebel Stars ingeniously carries on the tale. With a few subtle references to Breakers which remind me that this is a continuation of a fascinating story, the series can also be fully appreciated as a stand alone tale. The universe is a different place than it was in the past, but these characters are also well developed and Rada is quickly becoming a real hero (or heroine) who has captivated me every bit as much as Walt did in the original books.
An excellent read, and one of those once-in-a-while books that you wish weren't ending.
I'm totally looking forward to the next!

Traitor Rebel Stars Book 2 eBook Edward W Robertson Reviews
It's a great story and much more. This whole series, Breakers included, makes you think about themes such as Liberty vs. Security, unintended consequences, who really is in control of things and for what ultimate purpose. Reminds me of Vonnegut's Sirens of Titan and L.Ron Hubbard's Battlefield Earth A Saga of the Year 3000. Keep up the good work Robertson. Looking forward to the next one.
...and who can guess what is to come? Having Them arrive on the scene throws an entirely new dimension into the plot. New knowledge of the Swimmers changes what humanity thought it knew about their own history and place in the universe. I would love to speculate about where all of this leads as it can go in so many directions from here.
Nah. When I get hold of book three will be soon enough to see where this goes. Count me in.
I really like this series. I believe the direction ROBERTs is going may very well be the best. I also appreciate no formatting errors. Also very well edited. The next book should be interesting, and supposedly the final one. He is also a good writer and has developed the characters so that they are not one dimensional. Recommend them highly.
A nice addition to the series. We find out more about the corporations in space, and learn a little more about what Earth is like now. It is really important to read the first book in the series, this is not one where you can pick up the story just anywhere. In fact as I began this installment I was thinking I really should have gone back and read the first story again because I was a little lost at first. Probably just my faulty memory. I like how the series is going and will definitely read the next one. Nicely done Mr. Robertson!
This is novel that has it all. Heroes, heroines.
Kids as bright as in Enders Game. Plus conspiracies and alien races lurking in the dark. Great story in itself and with promise of more to come. I can't wait.
On par with old masters of spaceopera and as good as Asimovs foundation series.
I like the varied gallery of persons/aliens and that the pace of events is a bit faster than some of the books in Robertsons Breakers series. All though to be fair the Breakers are also very good. Add to that, that the pricing of the books are not the highest on while the content is perfect. This is a new winner from Robertson
More please. Whenever I really want to find something good to read. When I'm digging through the online libraries and not finding that book I might like. It's because I can't forget the Breakers series or the Rebel Stars series. I want more books like them. I'll probably never get these books and the writing and the characters, and the places in them out of my memory. I don't want to. If Mr. Robertson would just keep writing oh , , about one of these per week, yep I know that's impossible and impractical, but I would be in book heaven. Reading for pure entertainment is a major part of my life now. So thank you Mr. Robertson for taking somewhere I just want to keep going back to. More please.
Yeah I know this review waxes a bit mushy but this dude is very creative and original. These are among the first books on my shelves and there ain't many. First shelf books that is. On my shelves.
Mr. Robertson has again strengthened his hold on me as a reader! That's right, I am addicted. The rebel Stars series deals with the distant future years after an alien race almost wiped out humanity (The Breakers Series). The situations his characters find themselves in, the way they think and the way he conveys all this through his words into your brain....All I can say is that every book leaves me wanting more. His entire library of work is well worth reading! I have yet to find another author who can develop a character so well. Each new one is so different, so defined from previous characters, so detailed that one would think these are real people, but I suppose, that's the point. IF you are new to EWR, then check out his works, but give yourself plenty of free time, because you wont want to put the book down.
